Leadership Swap

Here is my Swap, it is basic and easy, I wanted to use Fabric  in place of ribbon and the Fabric I used you can get for free during Sale a Bration with a $60 product purchase.

The Hearts are punched using the Triple Heart Punch, instead of adding the punched out hearts,I punched the Whisper White CS and layered it on the Melon Mambo CS having stamped on it first.

by changing the paper annd Fabric you get a different look.

Hello Again

I can't believe it has been almost a year since I posted. I am still around. Alot has happened in my life but I have decided to try and get back to sharing my love of creating online again.

I just returned from a wonderful relaxing holiday, I went to my daughters in Seattle for Xmas and drove the snowny roads home yesterday I am so fhankful to be home.

I went to Phoenix from Seattle on Jan 5th and had a great 2 week visiting friends there, and then went on to a Stampin' Up! Leadership in San Antonio Texas for a week, and learned so much about the new product in the Occasions Mini and had a wonderful time in San Antonio.

Well I am hanging in there, it is a day by day process however I get alot of joy from Stampin' and my stampers without them I don't know how I would make it thro' each day. Big Thank You too all my Stampin' Frineds

As most of you know I lost my husband of 37 yrs, it was a huge shock. Dave had been having some health issues but nothing we thought would kill him in the near future. Anyway I have started a new chapter to my life. Who knows where it will lead. I have received so many beautiful hand stamped cards and I truely thank you all who have sent them. I look at them alot.

My stampers and I are back at it so one of these days I will share the frog card we made. Until then keep me in your thoughts. Hugs ELaine

Trading Card Swap

I am in a TC swap this weekend. I think the technique I used is called Faux Shadowing. I first stamped an image from the stamp set Just Believe, with Baja Breeze, let it dry completely,then took my embossing buddy and rubbed it over the card, then using Craft Whisoer White Ink I stamped the image. I used my Stamp a Ma Jig so I could place the image slightly off to ctreate a shadow. Stamped and embossed using white embossing powder, I love how it adds dimention to the image. Notice I also used a Cardstock button using the set Button Button, and I cut it using the Button embosslet, it works great once you get the hang of the placement.
 

Well I am off to have a stampin' day. We are going to Regionals in Vancouver tomorrow and it is so cold here today that I don't think I will venture out, so will just get ready for tomorrow. Just may get afew more swaps done.  Have a great day and keep warm. Elaine

Continuing on With the Blossom Punch

 
Well where do the days go. Anyway another way to use the stampset and punch is to cut a strip of Cardstock 21/4" wide by 81/2" long and stamp 5 images on like this

 Remember they all have to go in the same direction like this you can't conserve paper.

Now take your punch and feed the cardstock thro' like this

 
punch out all five images and then to put them together we have this wonderful product called Sizzix Self Adhesive Sheets, I love this, it is like having a Xyron machine but you never get the adhesive on the wrong side, yeah. I punched a 11/4" circle for this project

 

 
so the circle is completely covered with adhesive in one rub

Now all you have to do is place the petals the way you want them and then take a bone folder and curl them up or back as desired

 
and you are finsihed then you have a flower for a card, here once again is the card we made.

 I also spritzed the flower using Rubbing Alcohol and Champagne Shimmer Paint mixed in a spritz bottle to add a little glitz to the flower.

Another way to use the Blossom Punch

First of all Happy Valentines Day. At Leadership this Jan. we received this Simply Adorned necklace, we made an insert that goes with the Valentine theme and then today I made another for the reverse side. Here they are.

 
these aren't the best pictures as I had this on and just took the picture without looking thro' the view finder so really considering they are pretty good.

 
 

 

Here is another option for the blossom punch, that I got from Dawn Olchefske's Blog

 
the punch must be it the closed position for this too work

 
 place stamps on top of the image make sure it is in the right postion

 
place glass block over the images and press so that the stamps attach

 
turn glass block over and press images so they are firmly attached

 
now you can stamp on the cardstock

 
then you can punch out the images. you can put all the stamps on the punch, or you can just put the ones you need for the flower you are making. This saves time and paper.

How to use the Blossom Punch

Here are some ideas on how you can use the Bossom Punch and stamp set together

 
Take a 31/2 square of cardstock and punch an image

 
using that cardstock image arrange your stamps on the block, this takes abit of patience however it does work.

 
ink uo the imags and stamp on a piece of cardstock

 
insert the stamped cardstock into your punch and you have all 5 images puched out at once.

This is one way to use the stamp and punch together. I will have more options in the following days. Elaine

This months card

I love the new blossom punch so decided that that is what we would use this month in class to create our card.

 Here I used Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake we also used the Tulip Embossing folder and created a square card. I absolutely love this stamp set and flower punch.

 
Here I used Cajun Craze and Sahara Sand plus I stamped one layer of the flower using Vanilla CS as the base and CC ink to stamp. After completing both cards I spritz with Champagne Shimmer paint and alcohol mixture, I love this mix, it just takes everything to the next level. Till next time Happy Stampin' Elaine
